Art and language bind me to the world, connecting with the past, present and future. Through creating journalistic and artistic content grounded in art historical and archival research , I highlight diverse backgrounds and cultures. My vivid language is most often expressed through writing historical and literary essays, interviews, cultural critiques and research papers. Visual arts accompany my writing, giving readers a glimpse into the images that paint my thoughts.  

 

I feed my inspiration by attending galleries, exhibitions, museums, and reading books. Galvanized by multimedia influences, I share others’ stories in a way that is authentic to their experience and my connection to it. Inspired by Toni Morrison and Bell Hooks, I capture universal themes that remind audiences of our underlying shared humanity. This multimedia work elicits the richest edition of any story I present.
